Zwipes Microfiber Windshield & Glass Cloth 10-Pack
3M #10120 #000 Synthetic Steel Wool Pad

First order of business, GLASS: (Task time ~20 minutes, Skill level: Basic)
As you've probably guessed, any good detailing job starts with the glass. Cleaning glass can be easy and tricky at the same time. Its easy to clean the obvious haze and grime away, but tricky to get a streak free shine.
Here's some special tips from the pros: Some very popular window cleaning products contain a wax to give the glass a sparkle effect. The trouble is, this wax usually ends up leaving streaks. Many pros swear by CRL Vista Cleer XP Glass Cleaner - 20 oz Can
Although I have not used it, it seems to be the most commonly suggested product, for streak free cleaning.
For really heavy duty cleanup, (Such as a Smokers interior) you can go as crazy as 000 grade steel wool or, 3M #10120 #000 Synthetic Steel Wool Pad , soaked with a heavy dose of glass cleaner. Start with a test area and be sure your not on a window tinting film surface or a rear window defogger grid. Do not use Razor blades, they can scratch the glass. Not even for tape, or heavy duty goo. Use Goo Gone, 8 Oz.

So with the right products in hand, your ready for a simple, streak free clean-up. You want to rid your interior auto glass of a few months worth of haze and smog residue. And bring back that new car look that seems to have faded. **One of the first things any used car dealership does to a car, to give it that unused feeling is to polish the glass, inside and out.** Dirty glass also increases glare, and lessens your margin of safety while driving at night.
So, now your ready to get down to business and get that glass sparkling clean again. Dont use ordinary paper towels!! They leave little lint fibers that not only stay on the glass, but all over your interior as well. Leave the Bounty in the kitchen and try yesterdays newspaper, to save money and stay Green.
You could also invest in some high quality wipes, like these, Zwipes Microfiber Windshield & Glass Cloth 10-Pack Especially made for streak-free glass cleaning, but old newspapers work especially well.
To keep the Go Green theme rolling, you could use All-Natural Glass and Surface Cleaner;Streak-free shine with no smearing; 32 oz. (946mL)
You could also simply use warm water, but using professional products gets the professional results.
